Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field and 5 years of related experience.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and web app development.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, architects and ops to deliver scalable AWS-based solutions.
• Participate in requirements, design, coding and testing phases.

Job Duties:

• Collaborate with other engineers as well as product managers, solution architects, tech leads, UX designers, and development operations engineers to deliver fast, reliable, maintainable solution in Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Participate in all phases of software engineering including requirements, design, coding, and testing.
• Design and implement product features in collaboration with product managers and stakeholders.
• Design reusable components, frameworks, web applications, libraries, and micro-services.
• Present architectural diagrams and get buy in from customers.
• Consult on projects providing best practice support to help realize the requirements with a micro-service approach.
• Design and support mission critical, high availability architectures with a focus on implementing in cloud platforms.
• Implement individual software components, with high emphasis on quality, test-driven development, and sound software engineering practices.
• Develop, deploy, and debug cloud-based applications using AWS.
• May work 5 days per two weeks within normal commuting distance of Lawrence Township, NJ.

Requirements:

• Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, and five (5) years of progressive postbaccalaureate related work experience.
• Alternatively, the employer will accept a master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, and three (3) years of related work experience.
• Must have three (3) years of experience with/in the following (which can be gained concurrently):
• Programming languages such as Python, Node.js, C#, Java, or PL-SQL;
• Cloud computing platforms such as Amazon Web Service, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform;
• Cloud monitoring and logging tools such as AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or Google Cloud Logging;
• Front-end development utilizing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript;
• Conducting unit testing utilizing test frameworks such as Pytest, JUnit, or Nunit;
• User Interface frameworks such as Angular, React, Knockout, or Vue.js;
• SQL, MySQL and Oracle;
• Software design patterns such as Model-View-Controller (MVC) or Singleton;
• Database patterns including Object-Relational Mapping (ORM); and
• Software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
