Job summary

Cornerstone Defense LLC is seeking a Senior Software Developer to support mission‑critical programs in secure environments. The role requires deep proficiency in Java, JavaScript, RESTful services, encryption technologies, AWS, and modern development methodologies.

You will work independently and with cross‑functional teams to design, build, implement, and troubleshoot software solutions in an Agile setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or 8+ years of equivalent experience.
• 8+ years software development experience with Java and JavaScript.
• 8+ years experience with modern development practices, testing frameworks, and Agile methodologies.
• Strong interpersonal communication with ability to build rapport with clients and team members.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, implement, and troubleshoot software solutions for mission‑critical programs.
• Collaborate across project teams in a fast‑paced Agile setting to deliver high quality results.

The Senior Software Developer supports mission‑critical programs within secure environments and delivers technical solutions across enterprise‑level systems. This role requires deep proficiency in Java, JavaScript, RESTful services, encryption technologies, AWS, and modern development methodologies. The developer will operate independently while collaborating across project teams to design, build, implement, and troubleshoot software solutions. The position demands strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to perform in a fast‑paced Agile setting while ensuring high‑quality results and adherence to best practices.

Required Skills

• BS in Computer Science or related discipline (or 8+ years equivalent experience)
• 8+ years software development experience with Java and JavaScript
• 8+ years experience with modern development practices, testing frameworks, and Agile methodologies

• Familiarity with building encryption libraries and key management services
• Ability to establish and enforce best practices for software design and implementation
• Experience contributing to project planning, documentation, testing, and quality assurance
• Experience with encryption concepts and key management
• 5+ years REST API experience
• AWS development experience
• Experience with Spring framework
• Experience with Service‑Oriented Architecture (SOA)
• Experience with containerization and Kubernetes

Demonstrates the ability to provide functional and technical expertise and to consult effectively with customer management teams.
