Job summary

AttainX, Inc. is seeking a Software and Database Developer IV to support DHS CISA IRME. The role involves evaluating existing code, data flows, and technical constraints to translate mission needs into feasible software capabilities.

This senior position requires a 7+ year track record in database administration, secure APIs, cloud apps, and enterprise integrations, plus DHS eligibility and Tier 4 background check. Telework may be possible with government approval, with duties in Arlington, VA.

Qualifications

• BS in computer science or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 7+ years in database administration, maintenance, and security.
• Senior-level experience delivering complex software and database solutions.
• Experience developing secure APIs, microservices, cloud apps, and enterprise integrations.
• Experience with data processing, ETL, and query optimization.
• Experience with version control, automated pipelines, and testing.
• Knowledge of secure coding, access controls, and vulnerability remediation.
• Federal apps, risk modeling, geospatial processing, and AI/ML integration preferred.
• Database administration certifications highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inventory software, cloud components, databases, APIs, and data flows with teams.
• Review code, data processing logic, and dependencies for modernization.
• Investigate bottlenecks, defects, and security concerns; document findings.
• Participate in interviews to clarify requirements and capabilities.
• Assess feasibility of features, refactoring, API integration, and cloud changes.
• Prepare technical options, estimates, and risk assessments for modernization.
• Support phased modernization roadmap and milestones.
• Maintain traceability between user needs and technical solutions.
• Prepare documentation and brief Government review materials.
• Document existing behavior and support transition and operations.
