Job summary

Morgan Stanley seeks a Director, Lead Software Engineer in Alpharetta, GA to lead development of core Java applications using Spring and REST APIs. You will collaborate with global teams, analyze requirements, and drive architecture decisions while ensuring production stability.

The role requires a Master’s in CS and 3+ years in senior tech roles, with extensive experience across Java, microservices, cloud, containers, and related frameworks. Telecommuting up to two days per week is supported.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, or related field.
• Three years of experience in the role or related roles.
• Three years of experience with Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL, Spring, Microservices, Hibernate, MyBatis, Node.js, Angular, HTML, Bootstrap, Highcharts, ReactJS, AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, AppDynamics, Splunk, DI/IoC, MVC, Layered Architecture, Architecture and Design Patterns (DTO/ViewModel, Factory Method, Abstract Factory, Builder, Prototype, Singleton, Adapter, Facade, Decorator, Proxy, Composite, Bridge, Strategy, Template Method, Observer, Command, Chain of Responsibility, State, Mediator, Memento, Visitor, Iterator).

Responsibilities
