Job summary

Spryte Medical seeks a Staff Software Engineer with deep medical imaging software experience to drive the Spryte platform from design to commercialization. You will own software architecture, verification, validation, and regulatory alignment while collaborating across multiple disciplines.

In this role you will mentor engineers, implement production-quality code using OpenCV, PyTorch, Qt/QML, and modern C++, and contribute to IP development and patent activities.

Qualifications

• 12+ years software engineering experience, medical device background preferred.
• Experience leading software development projects and architecture.
• Regulated medical device software development experience.
• Proficiency with UI/UX, image processing, and signal processing.
• Familiarity with FDA/IEC regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Spryte imaging software and internal tools.
• Lead robust software architectures and code quality.
• Perform testing, verification, validation, and reviews (unit/integration).
• Translate algorithms into production-quality software for imaging applications.
• Create intuitive user interfaces and UX for imaging software.
• Develop rapid prototypes for features, algorithms, and hardware integrations.
• Collaborate with systems engineering, marketing, clinical, quality, and regulatory teams.
• Create and review documentation for regulatory submissions and development.
• Ensure compliance with medical device standards and quality processes.
• Support IP development and patent activities.
• Mentor and provide technical leadership to other engineers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
