Job summary

Performance Drone Works, LLC is expanding its Denver engineering center to build the next generation of tactical robotic systems. We seek a senior software leader to drive the full lifecycle, from architecture to field deployments, guiding a team of engineers and collaborating with product and design leadership.

You will mentor engineers, optimize performance, and contribute to a culture of engineering excellence while delivering real-world capabilities for demanding missions.

Qualifications

• Expert-level C++ development with performance optimization.
• Experience architecting large-scale cross-platform software.
• Proficient with embedded Linux, Android, Qt, and REST/JSON integration.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across the full software development lifecycle.
• Architect, design, and deliver complex software systems as a technical authority.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering leadership.
• Mentor engineers and develop a software plan.
• Drive high-impact initiatives across multiple platforms.
• Lead technical discussions and design reviews for architecture and quality.
• Support field deployments with testing, demos, and live debugging.
• Improve system performance, identify bottlenecks, and fix security gaps.
• Foster engineering culture and innovation across the org.
