Job summary

Hawaii State Judiciary is seeking a Social Worker IV (Special Services), SR-22, in Lihue, Kauai. This on-site position supports programs including Kids First, Guardianship/Conservator, Restitution, Community Service Work, and CASA, handling the most complex cases and preparing reports for the Court.

You will train and supervise CASA volunteers, liaise with courts and the community, conduct field/home visits, monitor compliance, and participate in special projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with coursework in social work, social welfare, criminal justice, human services, counseling, psychology, sociology, or related social sciences.
• Ability to write clear and comprehensive reports; read and interpret complex material; and solve complex problems logically.

Responsibilities

• Handle the most complex cases in community service, restitution, and CASA; monitor compliance and prepare reports for the Court.
• Conduct field and home visits; communicate with victims regarding restitution; carry CASA cases.
• Train and supervise CASA volunteers; liaise with courts and community; assist with branch operations and special projects.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or Criminal Justice Administration
