Job summary

Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs in Fergus Falls seeks a Social Worker Senior/Admissions Coordinator to provide social work services for applicants and residents. You will assess and determine proper placements, offer clinical support, and plan social service programs in collaboration with the Home Administrator to meet regulatory standards.

Day shift, 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday, with potential additional hours; full-time employment in the Fergus Falls Veterans Home.

Qualifications

• Current licensure in Minnesota as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or ability to obtain licensure by date of hire.
• One year of Social Work experience.
• Skills in completing social work assessments sufficient to evaluate clients’ social service needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide social work services for applicants and residents of the Minnesota Veterans Home.
• Provide assessment and input to determine proper placement of applicants requesting admission.
• Provide clinical support and analysis to assure residents’ needs are addressed.
• Carry out planning and implementation of social service programs for residents.
