Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Supervisory Social Worker (GS-13) to oversee administrative and clinical aspects of Social Work across the Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System, supervising social workers and other professionals.

Applicants must have an MSW from a CSWE-accredited program and hold licensure to practice at the master’s level. One year of GS-12 level experience is required, with demonstrated supervisory and program-management abilities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work from CSWE-accredited program.
• Must be licensed/certified to independently practice social work at the master's level.
• May qualify under Grandfathering Provision for current VA employees.
• One year of experience at GS-12 level or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage administrative and clinical aspects of Social Work service.
