Job summary

San Bernardino County is recruiting Supervising Social Workers to oversee social workers delivering a broad range of social services in the Department of Aging and Adult Services, Children and Family Services, or Behavioral Health. Travel within the county may be required.

Ideal candidates will have two years of journey-level social work experience, a qualifying Bachelor's degree in a related field, and demonstrated interpersonal skills, supervision, and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience performing professional social work duties equivalent to a Social Worker II.
• Bachelor's degree in behavioral science, psychology, social work, or closely related field.
• Qualifying degrees/coursework must be accredited; social worker trainees are not qualifying.

Responsibilities

• Oversee social workers delivering a broad range of social services.
• Provide supervision, training, and mentoring to staff.
• Coordinate with committees or other agencies in leadership capacity.
