Job summary

Global Alliant Inc. is seeking a SOC Tier 3 Analyst in Crownsville, MD, hybrid onsite two to three days weekly.

You will lead incident response, forensics, malware analysis, and threat hunting to protect federal/regulatory workloads. The role requires US citizenship and a Bachelor's degree in a technical field, with 10+ years in cybersecurity, forensics, or incident response, plus strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical/scientific discipline.
• 10+ years of cybersecurity, digital forensics, or incident response experience.
• Certifications preferred (GREM, CEH, CHFI, GCFE, GIAC or similar) can be included.

Responsibilities

• Incident Response & Forensics: plan and conduct investigations; create reports.
• Malware & Tool Analysis: analyze attacker tools and payloads.
• Tool & Process Development: train SOC analysts on SIEM and tune detection rules.
• Threat Intelligence & Hunting: correlate events and conduct threat hunting.
• Technical Leadership: develop incident response procedures and standards.
• On-Call Support: potential outside hours or weekends.
