Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a senior L3 SOC Security Engineer to act as a technical resource within the Web Defense SOC. You will lead advanced threat investigations, incident response, detection engineering, and optimization of security operations.

You will serve as the escalation point for L1/L2 teams, performing deep forensic analysis and feeding After-Action-Reporting to strengthen the security posture across 24x7 operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of cybersecurity experience.
• 5-7 years in a Security Operations Center, Incident Response, Threat Hunting, or Detection Engineering role.
• Experience handling major security incidents and escalations.
• Experience supporting 24x7 security operations environments.
• Experience with cloud security operations and modern security platforms.
• Experience improving SOC maturity, automation, and detection effectiveness.
• Experience with Fastly WAF, bot mitigation, or web application security technologies is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced threat investigation and incident response within the SOC.
• Perform deep forensic and log analysis to identify root causes.
• Act as escalation point for L1/L2 engineering teams for security incidents.
• Develop and optimize detection and response workflows.
