Job summary

WaveStrong seeks a seasoned SOC Manager in Houston, TX to lead a 24/7 security operations team. You will detect, monitor, respond, and remediate threats using Splunk SIEM, oversee incident response and forensics, and mentor analysts across levels 1–3.

You’ll coordinate shifts and ensure coverage. The ideal candidate has 6+ years in SOC with 2+ in leadership, strong knowledge of attacker TTPs, and certifications such as SSCP or CISSP.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in Security Operations Centers (SOC).
• At least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Experience leading a 24/7 security team and coordinating incident response.
• Mentoring SOC Analysts across levels 1–3.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day SOC operations and incident response.
• Monitor threats and coordinate remediation actions.
• Provide guidance and training to junior analysts.
• Track tickets and report status in biweekly meetings.
