Job summary

Tulzi Technologies, LLC is seeking a Senior SOC Engineer in Columbia, MD, to design, implement, and optimize log management and SIEM solutions. The role requires working with Logstash, Splunk, and related security tools to detect threats and support incident response.

Candidates should have 4+ years in information security or SOC roles, with TS/SCI clearance preferred. Strong scripting (Python/Ansible) and experience with SIEM tuning are highly valued.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI clearance is required for this role.
• 4+ years of experience in information security engineering or SOC environments.
• IAT Certification levels (e.g., CASP+, CISA, CISSP, CEH, etc.) or equivalent are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy new SIEM/log management systems and upgrade existing ones to meet customer needs.
• Develop and tune IDS/SIEM signatures and correlations to reduce false positives.
• Support incident response and forensics operations as required.
• Create, modify, and maintain threat detection scripts and automation.
• Develop playbooks for alert triage and incident handling; define metrics and analytics.
