Job summary

Zimperium is seeking a Sr. SOC Engineer to own and operate Google SecOps and CNAPP integration in a hands-on role from Dallas, TX.

You will architect log ingestion, author detection rules, and drive AI-powered triage and automated response while collaborating with cross-functional teams. In this role you will lead investigations of high-severity incidents, maintain detection strategies, and ensure incident response quality.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in security operations, threat detection, or incident response, with at least 4 years in a SIEM/SOC engineering or detection engineering role.
• Experience with major SIEM platforms (Splunk, ELK, Chronicle/Google SecOps, Sentinel, Sumo Logic).
• Knowledge of log types and sources and data normalization.
• Experience building or tuning threat detection rules and correlation logic.
• Scripting in Python/Go/Bash for automation and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own and operate Google SecOps platform end-to-end.
• Architect log ingestion, threat detection rules, and automation.
• Lead investigations into high-severity incidents and provide post-incident analysis.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud Security, and Product Security teams.
• Define SOC KPIs, dashboards, and reporting.
• On-Call incident response and escalation for critical events.
• Support compliance and audit activities with evidence and documentation.
