Job summary

CTS is seeking an experienced SOC Engineer - Level 2 to join our Security Operations Center. You will monitor, analyze, and respond to complex security incidents, guiding Level 1 engineers and contributing to the organization’s security posture.

Responsibilities include threat detection, incident management, forensic analysis, vulnerability management, and documenting actions. This is a full-time remote role with EST hours and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years in a SOC or cybersecurity role, 1–2 years at Level 2.
• Certifications such as Security+ or CySA+ preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security alerts and incidents; investigate complex threats.
• Lead security incident management with cross-team coordination.
• Perform forensic analysis to identify root causes and IOC.
• Manage vulnerabilities and coordinate remediation efforts.
• Maintain and optimize security tools including SIEM, IDS/IPS, and firewalls.
• Mentor Level 1 SOC Engineers and provide training.
