Job summary

Lyra Technology Group, via ImageQuest in Nashville, TN, seeks a senior SOC Engineer to backstop the SOC with escalations, incident response, threat hunting, and automation for a managed services client base.

You will own confirmed compromises from containment through handoff to advisory services, tune detection rules, and collaborate with clients under tight timelines. This hybrid role is based in Brentwood, TN.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of proven IT security experience, with hands-on incident response or threat hunting.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
• Experience with Defender for Endpoint, SIEM, MDR platforms.
• Ability to investigate, triage, and contain incidents.
• Automation scripting using PowerShell.
• Strong understanding of networks and attack vectors.
• Certifications like Security+ or CySA+ are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own escalations and confirmed compromises from the SOC Analysts.
• Investigate and triage alerts to determine severity and scope.
• Contain and resolve security incidents for client operations.
• Coordinate with clients to explain containment and investigation steps.
• Serve as backup to SOC Analysts in inbound alerts.
• Conduct post-incident debriefs with the Advisory team.
