Job summary

Alteryx, Inc. is seeking a Senior Security Operations Center Analyst in the United States. You will triage alerts, lead incident responses, and improve detection across on-prem and multi-cloud environments. Expect collaboration with IT, Cloud/Platform, and Engineering teams to reduce risk and strengthen defenses.

The role emphasizes forensics, cloud security investigations, threat hunting, and detection engineering with on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science or related field.
• 4+ years of security operations / incident response experience.
• Strong knowledge of SIEM/log management and telemetry analysis.
• Hands-on with cloud-native security services and cloud logs.
• Experience scripting for investigations and enrichment (Python/PowerShell/Bash).
• Clear written and spoken communication; strong reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Triage and respond to security alerts and incidents across environments.
• Lead incident communications and executive-ready summaries as needed.
• Coordinate containment and remediation with relevant teams.
• Document timelines, evidence, hypotheses, IOCs, and actions taken.
• Conduct threat hunts and map findings to detections and playbooks.
• Develop and tune detections, alert logic, and telemetry visibility.
• Validate detections with testing and improve alert fidelity.
• Collaborate to define monitoring use cases and risk reduction.
