Compunnel, Inc. is seeking an ETL Developer to lead the design, development, and implementation of an enterprise data ecosystem to support BI, analytics, and regulatory reporting.

The role emphasizes data warehousing to support credit risk modeling and data modernization efforts. The candidate will bring deep Snowflake expertise, strong SQL and Python skills, and extensive experience with ETL/ELT patterns and Airflow to orchestrate complex data pipelines across multiple sources.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering or data warehousing with leadership in modernization or consolidation projects.
• Deep expertise in Snowflake architecture, including optimization, tuning, data sharing, and cost governance.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and dimensional data modeling.
• Mastery of Python for data transformation, automation, and API integrations.
• Extensive experience with Apache Airflow.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Solid understanding of data architecture principles and modeling for regulatory reporting.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and executive audiences.
• Expertise in ETL/ELT patterns and data warehousing in financial risk or similar environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for data architecture, platforms, and governance.
• Lead end-to-end design and implementation of a modern enterprise data ecosystem.
• Architect, optimize, and maintain Snowflake data warehouses to support credit risk models and regulatory requirements.
• Build and enhance high-performance ETL/ELT pipelines using Python.
• Develop and manage advanced data workflows with Airflow.
• Drive unification of fragmented data sources into a cohesive platform.
• Lead workshops to gather business and technical requirements.
• Perform coding, testing, deployment, and validation of ETL/ELT processes.
• Evaluate emerging data technologies and create PoCs to validate strategies.
• Serve as a liaison between engineering teams and stakeholders.
