Job summary

NuAxis is seeking a Senior Snowflake Developer for a Full-Time position. You will design and optimize Snowflake data pipelines, data models, and platform performance, owning warehouse design standards and secure data delivery patterns.

Responsibilities include designing Snowflake schemas, tuning SQL and ETL/ELT processes, optimizing warehouse resources, and implementing security controls. A strong background in Snowflake and SQL is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Five to eight years of data engineering experience, including at least three years Snowflake delivery.
• SnowPro Core Certification is required.
• SnowPro Advanced: Data Engineer within 180 days of assignment.
• Preferred: SnowPro Advanced: Architect; dbt Analytics Engineering Certification; AWS or Azure data certification.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Two (2) years of specialized experience may substitute for one (1) year of the academic requirement.
• Minimum Experience: Five (5) to eight (8) years of data engineering experience, including at least three (3) years of hands‑on Snowflake delivery.
• Certifications - Required: SnowPro Core Certification.
• Certifications - Obtainable After Hire: SnowPro Advanced: Data Engineer, within 180 days of assignment.
• Certifications - Preferred: SnowPro Advanced: Architect; dbt Analytics Engineering Certification; AWS or Azure data certification.
• Required Skills: Snowflake platform engineering; advanced SQL; dimensional and analytical data modeling; ELT and ETL design; performance and cost optimization; data security controls.
• Preferred Skills: dbt; Python; cloud data platform integration; data governance frameworks.

Technical Environment

Snowflake virtual warehouses, streams, tasks, dynamic tables, and Snowpark; advanced SQL and stored procedures; dbt; Python; Apache Airflow; Fivetran or Matillion ingestion; Amazon S3 and Azure Data Lake Storage; Snowflake RBAC, dynamic data masking, and row access policies; Time Travel and zero-copy cloning; Terraform for platform provisioning.
