Job summary

BlueCloud is seeking an experienced Senior Snowflake Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions within complex enterprise environments. This hands-on role focuses on developing reliable data pipelines, improving Snowflake performance and cost efficiency, and modernizing existing workloads while collaborating with data architects, analysts, and client stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering with hands-on Snowflake expertise.
• Advanced SQL skills with complex transformations, optimization, and stored procedures.
• Strong Python development for data processing, automation, and pipelines.
• Hands-on with Snowpark and Snowflake-native features (Dynamic Tables, Streams, Tasks).
• Proven experience designing scalable ELT/ETL pipelines in production.
• Knowledge of Snowflake performance optimization: sizing, profiling, clustering, WM management.
• Experience with dbt or equivalent transformation framework.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP and modern CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines in Snowflake.
• Build and optimize ELT/ETL processes using SQL, Python, Snowpark, dbt, and Snowflake features.
• Modernize pipelines with set-based processing, incremental loading, and reusable patterns.
• Implement Snowflake-native data processing with Dynamic Tables, Streams, and Tasks.
• Improve performance and cost efficiency through tuning, sizing, and workload management.
• Develop orchestration, monitoring, error handling, and CI/CD integrations.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, and stakeholders to translate requirements into production solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and Agile delivery activities.
