Job summary

Lehigh Heavy Forge Corporation in Solon, OH, seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Technician II to provide advanced technical support for SMT/PCBA manufacturing. You will set up, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize automated equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and repeatable operations.

The role supports NPI and production, leading equipment readiness, validating process parameters, performing root cause investigations, and assisting with DOE activities and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in a technical field or related manufacturing experience.
• 3–5 years of experience supporting SMT/PCBA in electronics manufacturing.
• Knowledge of SMT equipment and process parameters.
• Solid troubleshooting skills for mechanical and electrical issues.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize SMT/PCBA equipment.
• Lead equipment qualification, process verification, and first-piece inspections.
• Develop machine programs, feeder configurations, and process profiles.
• Support NPI and production, validating parameters and doing DOE studies.
• Participate in root cause investigations and continuous improvement.
• Ensure IPC standards and quality systems compliance.
