Job summary

EWI Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to lead the on-site delivery of construction projects from mobilisation to completion. You will oversee subcontractors, trades and site personnel, ensuring work aligns with plans, schedules and budgets while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication and the ability to manage multiple priorities on active project sites.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience supervising construction projects.
• A relevant trade qualification, diploma or degree in construction management, engineering or a related discipline is desirable.
• Sound knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, quality control and relevant legislation.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation and use project scheduling or reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise subcontractors, trades and site personnel.
• Coordinate daily construction activities on site.
• Review drawings, specifications and work packages to ensure alignment with plans.
• Monitor progress against programme milestones and identify issues early.
• Lead regular site meetings, coordinate inspections and maintain records.
• Support preparation of progress reports, forecasts and cost information.
• Manage interfaces with project managers, consultants, suppliers and client representatives.
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental procedures.
