Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Systems Manager to provide expertise to a federal client and ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of mission-critical systems. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and managing scalable systems with a strong emphasis on on-site work in Colorado Springs, CO and adherence to security requirements.

The Systems Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, monitor performance, and drive incident prevention and response.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of IT infrastructure experience with on-prem and cloud.
• Active U.S. Secret clearance; U.S. citizen.
• Proficient with IaC (Terraform, Chef, Ansible), Jenkins, GitLab.
• Willing to work on-site in Colorado Springs, CO.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain highly available, fault-tolerant systems.
• Monitor and analyze system performance; use monitoring tools and incident management.
• Plan capacity and scale systems with performance testing and optimization.
• Implement robust backup and disaster recovery solutions for data integrity.
• Partner with development teams to ensure reliability and scalability in production.
