Job summary

Accenture Federal Services is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of client systems in a federal context. You will define KPIs and SLOs, analyze incidents, and implement preventative measures to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in CS, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering.
• Completion of Systems Developer (Advanced) Playlist or professional certification options.
• Holding one of the listed certifications (FITSP-D, GCSA, GISF, SSCP).
• 8 years of experience managing reliability, uptime, and automating operations for large IT systems.
• Must meet DoD 8140 requirements.

Job Description

The Site Reliability Engineer will ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of the Client System. The engineer will define and track Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Objectives, identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, and perform root cause analysis on incidents to implement preventative measures and enhance system efficiency.This role will design and implement monitoring and alerting systems to provide visibility into system health and performance, develop and maintain runbooks and playbooks for operational procedures, and automate routine operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce human error. The engineerwill conduct capacity planning to ensure the system can handle expected loads, implement load testing to validate system performance under stress, and establish disaster recovery procedures to minimize downtime. They will participate in on-call rotations to respond to system incidents, collaborate with development teams to improve application reliability and performance, and implement chaos engineering practices to identify weaknesses before they impact users.

Must have:

• Candidates must meet one of the following three areas:

  1. Advanced Degree:
  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering.
  1. Equivalent Training:
     Completion of one of the following accepted training programs:

     Holding one of these certifications:
  • FITSP-D
  • GCSA
  • GISF
  • SSCP

• Active Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI, or TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required, depending on position

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
