Job summary

Samtec is seeking a Senior SI Test Engineer to own the program-level SI validation strategy and drive standardization across projects. You will mentor engineers, lead root-cause analyses, and ensure repeatable, traceable test execution across multiple labs.

You will develop best practices, maintain high testing standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve throughput and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of SI experience in a high-speed electrical test environment.
• Expert experience with SI instrumentation and test automation; standardizes methods across teams.
• Expert experience applying DOE and statistical analysis to improve test confidence and throughput.
• Strong data analysis skills, including statistics and data visualization.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and identify root causes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• A passion for learning new technologies and staying up-to-date with industry trends.
• Experience working in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Define program-level SI validation strategy.
• Standardize methods and reporting.
• Lead root-cause analysis activities.
• Mentor engineers on problem-solving approaches.
• Establish correlation strategies and metrics.
• Drive automation/reporting standardization.
• Approve significant test plans and acceptance criteria; ensure cross-lab repeatability.
• Ensure traceability across equipment, setups, and data utilizing approved systems.
• Author technical documentation and validation summaries for internal and external audiences.
