Job summary

Military Sealift Command seeks a CIVMAR First Radio Electronics Technician to support worldwide telecommunications on Navy vessels. You will monitor and operate secure communications systems and supervise junior personnel in a watch-stander role as part of the communications department.

Qualifications include Top Secret eligibility, US citizenship, TWIC, and MMC with appropriate experience in shipboard centers. The role requires readiness to deploy globally and operate complex equipment.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen 18+ with required clearances and prioritization of security eligibility.
• TWIC with at least 10 months remaining on expiration.
• USCG Merchant Mariner’s Credential (MMC) with expiration remaining.
• Top Secret eligibility within the last 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and control shipboard communications systems worldwide.
• Maintain and troubleshoot C4I networks aboard naval auxiliary vessels.
• Train and supervise assigned personnel in secure telecom procedures.
• Adhere to safety, EKMS, and COMSEC policies and perform emergency drills.
