Job summary

The M.C. Dean, Inc. Maritime Division seeks skilled welders to join Alteration Installation Teams supporting C4ISR system installations on ships and submarines. Work across shipyards in San Diego, Norfolk, and other USA ports, with travel as needed.

Candidates should have HS diploma, 3-4 years welding, ASNT NDT Level III, and AWS certifications; must be US citizenship eligible for clearance and able to lift and work at height.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ASNT NDT Level III certification required.
• Additional AWS welding certifications preferred.
• Extensive welding experience in shipboard environments.
• US citizenship eligible for clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support C4ISR system installations on ships and submarines.
• Work across shipyards worldwide with travel as needed.
• Maintain safety and welding inventory and equipment.

Skills

Read and interpret specifications

Read shipboard installation drawings

Use ARC and gas welding equipment

Weld in all positions

Weld parts together using gas welding

Perform thermal cutting and grinding

Repair broken or cracked parts

Supervisory and leadership skills

Education

High School Diploma or GED

ASNT NDT Level III Certification

AWS CWS/CWI certifications
