Job summary

LyondellBasell is seeking a seasoned Shift Supervisor for the Jurupa Valley Recycling center to lead up to 12 operators, ensuring safe, efficient operations and on-spec products. You will work with engineers and maintenance to meet site objectives and drive continuous improvement.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in plant operations, strong leadership, and excellent communication, with a solid understanding of process equipment and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of plant operations experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing plant environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership, coaching and supervision abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop a high performing shift team and develop individual operators' skills and abilities.
• Work with unit specialists, process engineers, and manager to meet objectives.
• Maintain knowledge of unit procedures, equipment, and personnel to meet objectives.
• Interface with maintenance personnel on maintenance execution and outages.
• Interface with project engineering and construction personnel to manage projects.
• Report, investigate, and initiate corrective actions; troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Train and evaluate operator performance; ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Communicate relief information to other Supervisors for off-hours continuity.
