Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a SharePoint Administrator to lead a team that engineers and operates customer-facing enterprise IT services, including SharePoint management, AD, Exchange, and related web services.

The position emphasizes design, implementation, and maintenance of SharePoint environments, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and ensuring security and compliance policies while staying current with evolving SharePoint tech.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience in SharePoint administration or a similar role.
• Deep knowledge of SharePoint 2013/2016/2019 and SharePoint Online.
• Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, infrastructure, and administration best practices.
• Experience with SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, and PowerShell scripting.
• Familiarity with SQL Server and Active Directory.

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer SharePoint environments, including design, implementation, and maintenance of sites and subsites.
• Configure SharePoint services and settings, ensuring integration with other applications and systems.
• Monitor usage statistics, report findings, and implement efficiency improvements.
• Develop and maintain SharePoint applications, features, and workflows.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for SharePoint users.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions.
• Train end-users on SharePoint functionality and best practices.
• Ensure security and compliance policies are implemented and followed.
• Stay current with SharePoint technologies and evaluate new tools.
