Job summary

Apex Systems is seeking a Senior Principal ServiceNow Engineer in Tampa, FL, with a focus on authoritative leadership, hands-on development, and enterprise-grade implementations. The role emphasizes secure, scalable, and maintainable ServiceNow capabilities to meet mission and business requirements.

The candidate will lead technical execution while mentoring junior staff, establishing engineering standards, and serving as a primary escalation point for ServiceNow issues.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on ServiceNow engineering, configuration, implementation, and sustainment experience.
• Experience delivering ServiceNow capabilities in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to mentor.
• Experience with DoD security requirements is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on configuration, implementation, enhancement, and sustainment of ServiceNow solutions.
• Provide technical leadership for complex ServiceNow implementations, including standards and best practices.
• Develop and support workflows, client scripts, UI policies, forms, and service catalog capabilities.
• Build and maintain integrations using REST, SOAP, LDAP, and SSO.
• Develop dashboards, KPIs, reports, and analytics to support operations and decisions.
