Job summary

ASM Research seeks a ServiceNow Engineer to provide advanced engineering, configuration, and integration support for the enterprise ServiceNow platform, ensuring stability, scalability, and alignment with federal standards.

The role designs and maintains complex workflows, integrations, and data models, applying scripting and automation to improve build, test, and operation in a federal IT environment while collaborating with owners and process leads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of ServiceNow environment experience in large, multi-module instances.
• Expertise configuring and customizing core ServiceNow applications and building integrations via APIs and web services.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration with product owners, process leads, and infrastructure teams.
• Experience planning and executing ServiceNow upgrades with change-management processes, testing, and rollback.
• Current secret security clearance.
• Willingness to travel 10–25% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex ServiceNow solutions across ITSM, ITOM, SPM, SAM, SecOps and related enterprise applications, ensuring configurations follow standards.
• Develop and maintain integrations using APIs, web services, and MID servers to connect ServiceNow with monitoring, identity, and business systems, resolving issues.
• Plan and execute platform upgrades, patches, and enhancements with regression testing, validation, and rollback planning.
• Configure and customize workflows, forms, dashboards, and data models to meet requirements while maintaining performance, security, and supportability.
• Collaborate with security and compliance stakeholders to ensure configurations, integrations, and data handling meet federal requirements.
• Apply scripting and automation to streamline administration, deployment, and maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot complex platform issues across application, integration, and infrastructure layers with root-cause analysis.
• Document solutions and procedures to support knowledge transfer and audit readiness.
