Job summary

Ares Enterprise is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to lead design, development, and maintenance of custom ServiceNow applications for HHS financial management. You will collaborate with Product Owners, platform teams, analysts, and security teams to modernize processes and ensure compliance.

The role requires 7+ years of development and 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow work, with strong JS, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and Service Portal skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent
• 7+ years of software development experience
• 5+ years hands-on ServiceNow development
• Experience building custom scoped ServiceNow apps
• Proficiency with JavaScript, ServiceNow APIs, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and Service Portal
• Experience with Agile and DevSecOps methodologies
• Experience supporting enterprise SaaS platforms
• Strong ITSM/ITOM and platform governance knowledge
• Experience leading technical reviews and mentoring juniors
• Excellent written and verbal communication in a federal environment

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of custom ServiceNow applications.
• Design scalable solutions for HHS financial management processes and reporting.
• Translate business needs into technical solutions with Product Owners and stakeholders.
• Develop user stories, technical designs, workflows, and integrations.
• Perform ServiceNow configuration, customization, and enhancements.
• Implement integrations with external systems and data sources.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and platform upgrades.
• Review code and mentor junior developers.
• Troubleshoot defects and perform root cause analysis.
• Create dashboards and performance analytics.
• Ensure compliance with HHS security, privacy, and accessibility rules.
• Support ATO activities, security assessments, and remediation.
• Create technical docs, deployment plans, and user guides.
• Provide after-hours support for critical upgrades or incidents.
