Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Senior Server-Side Engineer for 100% remote work in the U.S. to design, build, and operate foundational backend platforms and shared services used by multiple engineering teams.

The role focuses on high-throughput routing, traffic management, data fan-out, caching, asynchronous jobs, and durable event processing to handle very high traffic with predictable latency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of backend, platform, or software engineering experience.
• Strong experience designing and building distributed systems and internal platforms.
• Proficiency in Java, Go, Scala, Rust, or C++.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, Pulsar, NATS, or other event-driven technologies.
• Strong knowledge of relational, NoSQL, and search databases.
• Experience leading technical projects and collaborating across teams.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and mentoring skills.

Salary Range:$100,000–$150,000 Annually

Job Summary We are seeking aSenior Server-Side Engineer focused on high-throughput platform development to design, build, and operate the foundational platforms and shared services that other engineering teams rely on to deliver their products. This role focuses on building backend platform capabilities — request routing, traffic management, data fan-out, caching layers, asynchronous job execution, and durable event processing — that must handle very high traffic volumes with predictable latency and minimal operational toil.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of backend, platform, or software engineering experience.
• Strong experience designing and building distributed systems and internal platforms.
• Proficiency in Java, Go, Scala, Rust, or C++.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, Pulsar, NATS, or other event-driven technologies.
• Strong knowledge of relational, NoSQL, and search databases.
• Experience leading technical projects and collaborating across teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes and platform engineering.
• Contributions to open-source infrastructure projects.

• Experience with API versioning and backward compatibility.
• Technical blogging, conference speaking, or other community contributions.
