Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a mid- to senior-level Sediment Remediation Engineer to lead projects for federal and public sector clients. The role requires independent work and team leadership on sediment remediation initiatives across riverine, coastal, and port settings, with strong regulatory understanding.

The candidate should have PE licensure, a civil/environmental/chemical background, and ~7 years of related experience, with potential travel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering.
  • PE license required.
  • 7 years of related experience; travel may be required.
  • Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
  • Equivalent additional related experience considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

  • Lead sediment remediation projects for federal/public sector clients.
  • Evaluate feasibility of sediment remediation technologies and design sediment remediation solutions.
  • Provide support of mathematical/statistical evaluations of environmental data.
  • Serve as CDM Smith’s task manager on sediment sites and communicate technical strategy to clients.
  • Oversee staff in preparing/reviewing technical documents to meet regulations and policy.
  • Collaborate with clients, public, and outside consultants on project execution.
