Job summary

Ascensus is seeking a Principal Security Ops Analyst to oversee operational security across the organization. The role focuses on monitoring, detecting, and responding to security events, with hands-on management of tools like SIEM, IAM, and endpoint protection.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in Information Security or Security Operations, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, and CISSP preferred. Collaboration with IT, risk, governance, and facilities is required to strengthen Ascensus’

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in Information Security or Security Operations.
• Experience managing security tools and monitoring activities.
• Strong understanding of network services, vulnerabilities and attacks.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and review team work.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security events from multiple tool sources and analyze for false positives.
• Lead incident response and escalation processes.
• Maintain and improve security processes, documentation and metrics.
• Collaborate with IT, risk, governance and facilities teams.
• Review access requests related to content filtering and exceptions.
