Job summary

Sea Island Company is seeking a Senior Security Officer (Day Shift) for The Cloister security team to protect guests, members, employees, and property. You will lead by example, patrol facilities, respond to incidents, and coordinate with local authorities to maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

The role requires at least 2 years in physical security with access control, strong English communication, CPR/AED certification, and the physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and work a flexible

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in physical security with a focus on access control.
• Valid Georgia driver's license and Sea Island driver requirements.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to use standard office equipment and peripherals; MS Office proficiency.
• CPR/AED certification current.
• Physical strength and stamina for security tasks, including lifting 50+ pounds.
• Ability to kneel, crouch, squat, climb, stand, sit, reach, bend, push, pull, and walk for prolonged periods.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends, early mornings, evenings, and holidays.

Basic Job Function:

As a Senior Security Officer, you and the team protect Sea Island Company guests, members, employees, and property against
fire, theft, vandalism, illegal entry and other circumstances that would disturb the peace and good order of Sea Island. You strive
to lead by example as you provide attentive and responsive services to protect guests, members and employees. You are a

A Senior Security Officer plays a vital role in ensuring guest satisfaction by creating a safe, secure, and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities include parking enforcement, facilities check, property patrols, response to Guest security requests, response to
incidents, accidents, injuries, written reports, and pick up/delivery of Lost and Found property. You and the team carefully patrol
buildings, grounds, and parking areas, watch for irregularities such as fire hazards or leaking water and look for tampering to property or equipment. Any equipment problems or maintenance needs are addressed or shared with the appropriate team for immediate resolution. You sound alarms and call emergency services as needed. You take pride in maintaining situational
awareness, ensuring the property is peaceful and safe, and guarding against potential theft. You investigate theft or losses, and report to the scene of any accident or injury to respond and assist as needed. You assist Sea Island team members with pending
guest situations as requested. You liaison with and support local law enforcement and emergency services when they are onsite at Sea Island.

You exhibit a high level of coordination, communication, and teamwork with related departments. You train team members to
ensure security standards are consistently met.. You set the tone with your strong ethics and by consistently upholding and
ensuring compliance with departmental procedures, including standards for quality, timing, attendance, and appearance. You maintain your knowledge of Sea Island’s properties, services, and offerings, and share this information with guests, members, and team members. You are generous with your support and help resolve any service issues that arise in a timely and positive way,
following up as needed. You are proactive in aiding when needed and are willing to help with other areas or duties as requested.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in physical security with a focus on access control
• Possess a valid Georgia driver’s license, and maintain all Sea Island driver requirements
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
• Confident use of standard office equipment, Microsoft Office programs, and peripherals
• Safety mindset and Current CPR/AED certification
• Physical strength and stamina to perform a security role, maintain ongoing, prolonged physical activity, indoors and
  outdoors in varying weather, throughout a scheduled day to include lifting 50+ pounds, comfort with noise levels,
  electrical, chemical, and fume hazards with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Ability to kneel, crouch, squat, climb, stand, sit, reach, stretch, bend, push, pull, and walk for prolonged periods
