This position observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site to ensure the security and safety of client property, personnel, and business operations. It includes conducting periodic tours to identify irregularities, inspecting protection devices and fire control equipment, preserving order, and enforcing regulations and directives related to personnel, visitors, and premises.
The Senior Security Officer represents an elevated level of security responsibility by integrating structured facility patrols, advanced access control and badging management, detailed reporting, video review, and highvisibility interaction with executives, employees, and visitors. This role requires strong judgment, heightened communication skills, and technical proficiency that exceed the expectations of a standard security officer, supporting a complex corporate environment where professionalism, confidentiality, and situational awareness are critical.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Core Duties Include:
1.Manage access control systems and credentials, including issuing, modifying, auditing, and troubleshooting employee, contractor, and visitor badges.
2.Conduct structured interior/exterior patrols and mandatory facility tours, documenting findings and identifying hazards, security violations, or irregularities.
3.Monitor entrances, exits, restricted areas, and critical points of access; prevent unauthorized entry and resolve disturbances professionally.
4.Interact confidently and discreetly with executives, VIPs, board members, and distinguished visitors, providing exceptional customer service at all levels.
5.Operate and monitor security technologies such as CCTV, access control platforms, alarms, and visitor management systems; retrieve and review video footage as required.
6.Verify and assess security and lifesafety alarms, coordinate responses, and elevate incidents appropriately.
7.Conduct preliminary investigations into security incidents, suspicious activity, access issues, and policy violations; document and report findings.
8.Protect incident and evidence scenes and coordinate with law enforcement, fire/EMS, or client leadership as needed.
9.Respond to a wide range of emergencies, including medical incidents, fire, workplace disturbances, hazardous materials, weather events, and utility failures—in accordance with established procedures.
10.Compose accurate reports, logs, audits, and documentation using company systems and software; maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
11.Support client operations by assisting with visitor management, front desk duties, conference room coverage, meetings, special events, and business continuity activities.
12.Demonstrate strong judgment, integrity, professionalism, situational awareness, and highlevel customer service in all interactions.
13.Perform other duties of similar scope as assigned.
