Job summary

Hunter Engineering Company is seeking a Security Engineer in Bridgeton, MO. You will design, implement, and maintain security systems across DLP, SIEM/UEBA, and endpoint protection, while auditing for policy compliance and improving risk management.

The role demands hands‑on expertise in incident detection, response, and forensics, plus strong communication and end‑user security training when needed.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Information Technology with 3+ years in security.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 Security landscape and Azure/AD.
• Proficient in PowerShell and Regular Expressions.
• Background in DevSecOps, pen testing, and risk mitigation.
• Strong incident detection, response, and forensics capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, manage, and troubleshoot security systems (DLP, SIEM, UEBA, endpoint protection).
• Audit systems for policy and regulatory compliance; recommend improvements.
• Perform threat, vulnerability, and risk assessments with possible external auditors.
• Enhance monitoring and visibility; lead security incident detection and response.
• Provide incident reports, vulnerability trends, and after‑hours support as needed.
