CoreWeave is seeking a security detections engineer to design and implement advanced threat detection strategies at scale. You will collaborate with peers to innovate and influence CoreWeave’s security posture while driving proactive incident response.

You will work with cross-functional teams, keep ahead of evolving threats, and contribute to security architecture and controls within a dynamic cloud AI platform.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to deliver impactful projects spanning multiple technical domains and teams.
• Extensive experience crafting custom alert logic within industry-standard tooling (e.g., KQL, SQL).
• Familiarity with Kubernetes fundamentals and eagerness to deepen expertise.
• Experience collaborating with Purple and Red Teams to enhance detection capabilities.
• Solid understanding of MITRE ATT&CK and Cyber Kill Chain frameworks.
• Proficiency in at least one query language (SQL, Splunk, HiveQL).
• Ability to write detections in Python, Bash, Go, or JavaScript.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/macOS internals and relevant event sources.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing advanced threat detection capabilities to identify and mitigate cyber threats.
• Crafting precise and efficient custom detection logic for evolving threat landscapes.
• Leading and/or participating in real-time security incident response, threat containment, and remediation.
• Conducting proactive threat-hunting to uncover vulnerabilities and anticipate threats.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance security visibility and detection effectiveness.
• Staying informed about emerging threats, attack vectors, and detection methodologies.
• Participating in strategic security initiatives and contributing to security architecture and controls.
• Engaging in security assessments to uphold high standards for security and compliance.
• Occasionally, drawing innovative solutions while navigating ambiguity.
