Job summary

Netcompany is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain security solutions across on‑prem, cloud, and hybrid environments. You will lead vulnerability management, enforce GRC-aligned policies, and drive automation for threat detection and response.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in cybersecurity, deep knowledge of cryptography, network security, and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIS/NIS2, GDPR).

Qualifications

• University degree in cybersecurity, CS or related field and extensive hands-on cybersecurity experience.
• Experience with security standards, frameworks and compliance, including ISO 27001, NIS/NIS2, GDPR.
• Strong grasp of cryptographic concepts, TLS/X.509, SAML, OAuth and related tooling.
• Deep knowledge of network security, FW, WAFs, TCP/IP, IPSec, HTTP/HTTPS.
• Proficient in Linux/Unix security, system hardening, and secure configurations.
• Experience with SDLC, scripting/automation in security contexts.
• Proven ability securing large, complex environments across on-prem, cloud and hybrid.
• Excellent written and spoken English; French a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cybersecurity solutions for government and critical infrastructure.
• Integrate security controls in line with policies, EU/regulatory standards.
• Monitor and investigate security events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk).
• Identify, remediate vulnerabilities, patching, hardening, credential and certificate management.
• Ensure security across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments with high availability.
• Enforce cybersecurity policies and controls following GRC frameworks.
• Develop automation to enhance security monitoring and response.
• Produce risk assessments, audit reports, and stakeholder communications.
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and public sector bodies.
