Job summary

Oscar Health seeks a Senior Product Security Engineer 1 to lead security across the SDLC and to design and deploy security measures for AI-driven workflows. You’ll work in a hybrid Los Angeles role, collaborating with the security team and product developers to secure our fast-growing platform.

You will mentor engineers, perform code reviews, and drive vulnerability management while aligning security with business goals and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of combined career experience in software development and information security.
• Experience across all areas of the Secure Software Development Life Cycle.
• Experience building moderate to complex standalone systems or major new features.
• Hands-on experience using AI models and integrating them with internal systems via MCP.

Responsibilities

• Vulnerability Management: Drive the vulnerability management lifecycle from automated identification to remediation tracking.
• Technical Mentorship: mentor junior engineers and improve workflows.
• Code Review & Development: perform source code reviews and write production-quality libraries.
• Risk Assessment: build risk assessment frameworks and action plans.
• Partner with Engineering: guide remediation or migration of vulnerabilities and present security talks.
• Compliance with all laws and regulations.
• Other Duties as Assigned
