Job summary

1Password is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join the Product Security team. You will lead end-to-end responses to product security incidents, own PSIRT evolution, and drive coordinated vulnerability disclosure with external researchers.

You will work across Engineering, Legal, Communications, and Customer Success to protect customers at scale. The role emphasizes building incident response capabilities, mentoring others, and leveraging AI to accelerate detection, analysis, and response

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT or Engineering with a security focus.
• Experience leading or participating in security incident response for SaaS products.
• Experience with coordinated vulnerability disclosure (CVD).
• Strong judgment under pressure in time-sensitive incidents.
• Experience building incident response capabilities (playbooks, runbooks, severity frameworks).
• Experience drafting customer security advisories or CVEs.
• Strong communication across engineers, executives, customers.
• Ability reading/writing code for forensic analysis and tooling.
• Experience leveraging AI/ML to accelerate security workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end response to product security incidents (discovery to disclosure).
• Own and evolve the PSIRT function, including classification frameworks and playbooks.
• Drive CVD processes and coordinate with bug bounty researchers.
• Coordinate across Product Security, Engineering, Legal, Communications, and Customer Success during incidents.
• Lead post-incident reviews and translate findings into improvements.
• Develop incident response tooling, automation, and reporting to reduce detection/response time.
• Contribute to customer-facing advisories and CVE disclosures.
• Evaluate and integrate AI-powered tooling to improve response speed.
