Job summary

CoStar Group is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to advance security across on‑prem, cloud, SaaS, and AI systems. The role encompasses network, SaaS, and AI security governance with collaboration across teams.

The position can be located in Arlington or Richmond, VA, with a hybrid schedule (in office Monday–Thursday, remote Friday). Minimum 5+ years in security and strong AWS/SaaS tooling experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is required from an accredited university.
• 5+ years of experience in Information Security or Security Engineering.
• One or more industry-recognized certifications (e.g., CISSP, SANS/GIAC, CCNA).
• Strong experience securing AWS networking (NACLs, SGs, ALB/NLB, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with NGFWs, WAFs, load balancers, and enterprise segmentation.
• Strong scripting or automation skills (Python, PowerShell).
• Experience with SaaS security platforms, CASB, or SSE tooling.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering security for on-prem and cloud networks.
• Audit network designs and configurations for security posture.
• Evaluate firewall changes for secure deployment.
• Design and enforce policies for NGFWs, SSE, and network devices.
• Manage SSE platform and SaaS security tooling.
