Job summary

The State Board of Elections is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to administer, configure and maintain security tools across host, network and application layers. You will lead incident response, investigate alerts, and advise on architecture aligned with NIST and CIS standards.

Extensive hours may be required during critical election periods; position reports to the IT leadership within the State Board of Elections in Annapolis, MD.

Qualifications

• Seven years of design, development, testing and maintenance in information security or related areas.
• Experience with enterprise security tools and standards (NIST/CIS).
• Strong ability to analyze threats and implement mitigations.

Responsibilities

• Administers security tools across host, network and app layers.
• Responds to incidents, investigates alerts and contains threats.
• Advises on secure architectures and technology upgrades.
