Job summary

Klaviyo is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join our Detection & Response Team. This engineering role spans the full detection and response lifecycle, building detections, triaging alerts, leading investigations, and automating workflows across enterprise, cloud, and product environments.

You will work with Threat Intelligence, develop AI-first security systems, and mentor others while participating in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on security experience in modern cloud environments.
• Experience triaging and responding to cyber threats.
• Experience with large-scale log analysis, incident response, or digital forensics.
• Proficient in writing detections-as-code and data querying (SQL/Splunk).

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy high-fidelity detections-as-code.
• Detect and respond to cyber threats using security data lake, SIEM, and cloud platforms.
• Lead end-to-end incident response investigations.
• Automate and codify detection and response workflows.
• Build security tooling to drive automation across D&R lifecycle.
