Job summary

Kikoff exists to help millions of people build credit. This role owns the Data Security pillar end-to-end across AWS, Snowflake, and internal pipelines, shaping how data is classified, accessed, encrypted, moved, and audited.

You will define the strategy, sequence the work, and partner with Legal and Compliance to translate data-handling requirements into secure infrastructure, enabling engineers with reusable patterns and auditable controls.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in security engineering with deep, hands-on data security experience: encryption, tokenization, access control design, key management
• Fluency in at least one scripting language for automation (Python, Go, Ruby)
• Strong command of AWS security primitives (IAM, KMS, S3 security, VPC controls)
• Experience securing a modern data stack (Snowflake or equivalent) and production relational databases

Responsibilities

• Own the Data Security pillar end-to-end across the stack, including classification, access controls, encryption and data flow security
• Set strategy for access for humans, services, and AI agents; drive least-privilege patterns at scale
• Design and ship tokenization and field-level protection for sensitive data; enforce RBAC/ABAC and audit visibility
• Build audit logging and data access monitoring; collaborate with Legal and Compliance to translate data handling requirements into infrastructure
