Clay is building a modern security organization from the ground up. We are hiring senior or staff‑level security engineers who are software engineers first, with deep expertise in cloud security or application security.

This is a hands‑on role where you’ll write production code for security tooling, detection systems, and remediation pipelines, and help define how we leverage automation and AI models to scale operations.

Qualifications

• Senior or staff-level security engineers who are strong software engineers first, with deep expertise in either Cloud Security or Application Security.
• Hands-on role writing production code—security tooling, detection systems, and remediation pipelines.
• Experience leveraging automation and AI models to scale security operations.

Responsibilities

• Build security primitives, tooling, and automation that scale with product and engineering org.
• Define and implement modern security workflows: AI-assisted vulnerability discovery, automated code review, threat detection, and remediation.
• Collaborate with Infra and Product Engineering to make secure defaults the easiest path.
• Own projects end to end: design, implementation, rollout, and measurement.
