The role requires 7+ years in information security engineering, proven design and architecture experience for large-scale enterprises, strong collaboration with IT and business teams, and certifications such as CISSP or CISM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Seven or more years of experience in information security engineering, IT security, or related technical roles.
• Proven experience in security solution design and architecture for enterprise-scale environments.
• Hands-on experience with security technologies such as SIEM, EDR, IAM, PAM, cloud security platforms, DLP, and firewalls.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and hybrid identity environments (e.g., Entra ID/Azure AD, on-prem AD).
• Demonstrated experience guiding technology implementation projects with security at core.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and regulations (NIST CSF, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI, SOX, NYDFS, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience in regulated industries (finance, insurance, or healthcare).
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, OSCP, GIAC (or equivalent).

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Engineer to join our Information Security team. This role will play a key part in shaping security strategy, designing enterprise-class security solutions, and assisting with implementation across cloud and on-premises environments. The Senior Security Engineer will collaborate with IT, architecture, and business stakeholders to ensure that security is embedded into technology initiatives from design through delivery.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation and integration of security technologies, ensuring scalability, resilience, and alignment with security best practices.
• Evaluate and recommend new security tools, platforms, and services to improve the organization’s security posture.
• Translate security requirements into technical designs, architecture diagrams, and implementation plans.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to ensure secure system and application deployments.
• Assist with developing and maintaining security standards, policies, and reference architecture.
• Mentor junior security staff and contribute to a culture of security awareness across the organization.
