Job summary

RedTrace Technologies seeks a Security Control Assessor II at Hanscom AFB, MA. The role conducts comprehensive assessments of management, operational, and technical security controls to determine effectiveness and risk, including SAP/SCI activities within the customer’s area of responsibility.

The SCA II will lead RMF-based evaluations, advise key security officials, and prepare SARs and POA&Ms while ensuring compliance with JSIG and DoD directives.

Qualifications

• 7-9 years related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (4 years).
• 4+ years in SAP, SCI or Collateral IS security & regulatory implementation.
• Experience as ISSO/ISSM/SCA.
• Must meet DoD 8570.01-M II certification requirements.
• Must be able to regularly lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of IS security program policy development and evaluation.
• Assess ISs using RMF per JSIG guidance.
• Advise ISO/IDO/PSO/DAO/AO on assessment issues.
• Evaluate authorization packages and advise on authorization.
• Assess threats and vulnerabilities and recommend safeguards.
• Prepare SAR for the Authorization boundary.
• Initiate POA&M for identified weaknesses.
• Provide written recommendations for security authorization.
• Review changes to authorization boundaries and environment.
• Assist government inspections and security incidents.
• Support SDLC and security of hardware/software.
• Represent the customer on inspection teams.
